Morning
Chai Before the Village Wakes
Hot chai arrives at your door before you've properly opened your eyes. Most guests take it out to the balcony and just watch the ridgeline catch the light — there's rarely anywhere else to be yet.
Meals
Whatever Was Fresh That Morning
There's no printed menu — breakfast and dinner are cooked from whatever came in from Kaza market or our own terrace that day. You'll usually know what's for dinner because you can smell it from the porch.
Afternoon
A Walk, or Deliberately Nothing
A short walk into the village fills an hour if you want it to. Just as many guests spend the afternoon by the fire with a book — nobody here will suggest you should be doing more.
Evening
Dinner Together, Then an Early Night
We eat together, family-style, most evenings. After that it's quiet — the kind of quiet that's hard to find anywhere with a signal.
At the Table
Food Cooked the Way It Always Has Been Here
Meals are home-cooked, family-style, using local ingredients and recipes passed down in the family kitchen. Guests often eat together at a low wooden table, floor seating optional — nothing plated for a photo, just food meant to be eaten hot.
Tell us in advance if you're vegetarian, vegan, or avoiding something specific — the kitchen will work around it, but it helps to know before the pot goes on.

Warm afternoons, cool evenings — our busiest season. Book a few weeks ahead if you can.

Clear skies and the best visibility of the year for the ridgeline. Our own favourite season.
December – February
Winter
Cold, sometimes snowbound, genuinely beautiful. Ask us about road conditions before you set out.

Paved most of the way; the last stretch is narrow — we'll share directions after booking.
Parking
Free parking on the property for one vehicle.
Network
Reasonable mobile signal; Wi-Fi available, occasionally patchy in bad weather.
Fuel
Nearest petrol pump is about 20 minutes away in Kaza — worth topping up before you arrive.
ATM
Nearest ATM is in Kaza town, about 30 minutes away — we'd suggest carrying some cash.
Nearest Hospital
A regional hospital is about 25 minutes away by road; we'll share the exact contact on request.
